There are two openings for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Event Planning:
Collaborate with the event organizer or client to understand their requirements and expectations.
Help design a customized menu based on the client's preferences and dietary restrictions.
Plan the event schedule, including cooking demonstrations, meal preparation, and other activities.
Pre-Event Setup:
Ensure that the cooking school is set up and decorated according to the party theme or the client's wishes.
Prepare and set up all the necessary cooking equipment, ingredients, and utensils.
Guest Interaction:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
Explain the event schedule and activities to the guests.
Engage with the attendees, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed.
Cooking Instruction:
Conduct cooking demonstrations and provide step-by-step instructions to guests on how to prepare the dishes.
Ensure that guests follow safety and hygiene guidelines while working in the kitchen.
Offer cooking tips, tricks, and techniques to enhance the cooking experience.
Supervision and Assistance:
Monitor the progress of the meal preparation and provide assistance to guests when required.
Manage the use of kitchen equipment to prevent accidents and ensure smooth operations.
Entertainment:
Create an enjoyable and interactive atmosphere by incorporating games, trivia, or cooking challenges during the event.
Ensure that guests are entertained and engaged throughout the party.
Food Presentation:
Oversee the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Arrange the dining area and tables for meal service, including table settings and decorations.
Customer Service:
Address any special requests or concerns from guests promptly and professionally.
Ensure that guests have a positive experience and leave with a sense of satisfaction.
Clean-Up:
Coordinate the clean-up process after the event, including dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
Safety and Emergency Response:
Be prepared to handle any safety or emergency situations that may arise during the event, including first aid if necessary.
Vendor Coordination:
If required, coordinate with external vendors (e.
g.
, cake delivery, entertainment) to ensure seamless event execution.
Documentation:
Maintain records of the event, including attendee lists, feedback, and any incidents or issues that arise.
Follow-Up:
After the event, follow up with the client to gather feedback and address any concerns or issues.
A successful party host at a cooking school should have excellent culinary knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a dynamic and enjoyable experience for all participants.
They play a pivotal role in ensuring that the event is a memorable and enjoyable occasion for the guests.
